AT&T and Cisco have partnered together to develop a new cloud-based conferencing tool for business customers. The service uses Cisco’s Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Cloud, bringing together WebEx Personal Rooms with WebEx Video Bridge to provide a video conferencing service that users can access from any connected video device.
Business customers will be able to participate in conferences supporting voice, video, and content sharing from an Internet-enabled smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. The service is expected to allow business users to be more productive by participating in virtual meetings regardless of their location. Cloud-based video conferencing could also help reduce costs by replacing in-person meetings and eliminating travel costs.

AT&T Conferencing with Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Cloud is expected to be available in December of this year.
